#FLIC on Targa+?
3 messages in this thread
Hi! I'm wondering (and this may be a silly question) but after rendering a
FLIC, how the heck do I get it to run on the Targa+ board, rather than the
stand VGA. Still looking through the manual but thought I ask you all
first.
James,
I had the pleasure of beta testing a Truevision program called the TARGA+
POCO TOOLKIT. It consists of a driver for Animator Pro to redirect screen
output to the Targa, and a set of POCO routines for accessing Targa
functions such as interlace/non interlace, genlock on/off, frame grabbing
with 8 bit convertion, and live video background on/off.
These funtions are directly accessable from within Animator Pro. Also
included is a library of POCO routines for writing your oun routines.
This file is in the MULTIVEN forum under the Truevision library files. It
is called ??????????
If you do not have Ani Pro you can download AAPLAYHI here in this forum.
You will not have access to the POCO routines but the driver will still
allow you to play your flics thru the Targa.
For convience you can shell out to Ani Pro (or AAPLAYHI) as an external
program under the PROGRAMS menu via the 3ds.set file and run flics on the
Targa+ from there. Maybe Gary will read this and include this ability into
Release 3! <g>
Hope this helps Ralph
Hey Ralph,
Thanks for the speedy reply. That should help, fornow, but it does seem
strange that you can render single frame to the Targa+ but can't play a
flic?? Weird, I'd say. I'll give it a shot.
