I'm using an adaptec controller with an nec cdrom. Neight came with drivers the controller recognizes the rom on boot up but when i try to load mscdex I get a named driver not found error. can anyone help My c drive is an scsi and the boot up statemnt says d: is installed. thanks robert d. grey

IS your config.sys set up correctly with Adaptec controller? Which controller do you have 1542, 1522, etc?

Robert, check the switch settings used with MSCDEX carefully; proper setting can be found in file Laser3.txt in lib #4. Hope that make for happier holidays!!
