#CD ROM Medical
4 messages in this thread
I'm looking for CD ROM applications for the medical field.
If possible pertaining Dermatology.
Could anyone guide me in the right direction ?

I'm sure they are some medical CDs available. Try downloading the file
vendors.txt which lists all vendors of CD-ROM discs. And see if they can
provide you with any additional details.
I've seen a dermatology CD-ROM in my hospital library. Has the usual derm
pictures such as in Kimmig and Janner. (I've always felt these were
unhelpful because they show only the most dramatic versions of a given
disease, rather than the more subtle things one sees in practice.) I can
find out the name of the CD tomorrow and let you know it if you'd like.

Peter:
There are dozens of medical titles, ranging from Scientific American's
CONSULT (family practice) to NEJM and JAMA, to journals of specfic
societies. I vaguely recall seeing a listing kept in the Medical Forum of
CIS (GO MEDSIG).
I don;t remember anything specifically involving dermatology, but if you
have trouble, let me know and I can help find out about it.
