I remember reading here that Abakas released an update to their Exabyte drivers, alowing the A66 to read Targa files directly off of Exabyte tapes. Am I remembering correctly, or is this wishfull projection into the past? Any help here would be appreciated as neither Editel, Veratel, nor the Post House have a clue regarding this. Martin

I heard the same thing from some people at the Abekas booth at some trade show this year – so it must be true that you can read .tga files directly into the Abekas. Also, I just saw some folk in Australia doing this exactly with an ethernet connection to the Abekas. The .tga files have to be uncompressed though, I believe(?), and no colour checking is done so colour clipping may occurr with illegal colours. Beware!
