Wolfenstein & 386 bboard

I've been trying Wolfenstein on my 386sx bboard. However, there seems to
bve some memory corruption problems. It looks as tho part of the video mem
is being troden on by something and I'm not clued up enuf to know how or
what to do to fix it.
What happens is this. The basic screen opens and a meeage at the bottom of
the screen saus 'Please wait a moment'. A few seconds later this message
gets overwritten by yellow vertical lines. Next press any key and that
screen becomes a mess of mauve coloured vertical full screen height lines.
Pressing the return key a few times cycles through some screens which
appear to be just screen grabs; these don't get messed up. The start
screen which says 'Get Physced' (sp?) then displays a variety of boxes at
the bottom all of which are unreadable.
The basic game play is fine with no screen coruption, it is just part
which report progress which get screwed.
Has anyone any ideas what to do please?

Pete,
have you tried selecting "Full Size Window" from the menu? DOSShell
screws up my screen royal here whenever I run it (which ain't often!) and
selecting that from the menu resets the window.

Thanks for the thoughts Brian. Am I right in assuming you are running your
bboard with the Amigas CGA output? I use an svga card.

yeah. I forgot about that option. It's on my wish list. Are there
any other drivers you could try for your board?

I suppose I could try some of the lower resolutions. I usually use 800 *
600 and just for a laugh I even tried 1024 * 768 which works perfectly
well but is far too small on a std 14" monitor.
I'll try 640 * 480..hang on a minute…. no it doesn't make any difference
even in 16 colur mode.
Got any ideas about memory management with the bboard?

Pete,
do you have DOS 6? If so, try running MemMaker and see what it makes
of your setup. It seems to be very good at picking out what needs
exclusion. Another thing to look at is perhaps one of the config programs
like SysCheck to see what it picks up.
Those are the two I used to double-check my setup here.
