Wish I'd asked for this earlier… but would it be possible to have the name of a picked object appear in the menu bar up top? It would be especially useful in the Detail and Stage editors, as I find it not uncommon to be working with many similar objects, like 50 spheres or cubes, but not all identical, and not all doing the same thing. I can usually guess which object I want; the name appearing in the menu bar would confirm my choice, saving me from having to use "Find" or "Rename". Anyone else think this is a good idea? By name, I of course mean the name in the "attributes" requestor. Some recent possible buggies that I have noticed: 1) The "waves" texture does not track properly through states; specifically, the amplitude and distance travelled values are not maintained within states. I don't yet know if this applies to any other textures. 2) At least sometimes, "set layers" includes interim layers when I don't want it to. I would think that 0,4 is different than 0-4. Maybe not, but have you thought of doing it that way. So if I only wanted three specific layers I could specify 0,4,22. ?

I have had the same problem as you and using Find or the Attributes requester to see if I had the right one selected was a bit of a pain. I hope they can implement the idea.
