What is Encapsulated PostScript? From every reference I've seen to it, it looks it's being used as a structured graphic standard file format. I know what PostScript is. Is EP tokenized or compressed PostScript, or is it just a defined subset of PostScript commands?

If you have a program that supports EPS input, then you can print it on a PS printer. E.g. Ventura allows for EPS files. Simply import it like any other file into a frame (there are selections available in the import window for EPS). EPS shows up like an "X" on the screen, but prints properly.
