#Syquest PC/MAC exchange?
7 messages in this thread
The Amiga will read and write syquest drives, so long as you have a SCSI
interface. The Amiga will also read and write DOS FORMATTED Syquests, so long
as your using CROSS-DOS or Workbench 3.0.
The Mac will read and write Dos formatted syquests if you use a utility like
DOS Mounter.
The PC will NOT read or write MAC or AMIGA formatted syquests.
Hope that helps.
(I do this cross platform stuff using Bernouilli's all the time).

Suresh,
I just picked up one of those Bernouilli 150 drives and find it great. I
take it from your message that a MAC and an Amiga can read the Bernoilli's?
Just wondering.

Yes.

Suresh:
Have you ever tried a program like Mac-ette (or some other PC program that
allows the PC to read a Mac disk) with a SyQuest?
Can't tell from your answer if you've tried it and it failed, or of you just
haven't tried it.
I'd like to be able to do this, so let me know!

Sorry to hear that! Lets try the old standby for assistance here:
HELP! Does anyone know how to read a Mac formatted SyQuest on a PC?????

If it's any help at all – An Amiga *CAN* read a mac formatted cartridge using
EMPLANT or AMAX-II

(In fact on my Amiga, I have a PC Emulator, multitasking with the Amiga and a
MAC in a different screen window..all happily chiugging along)..don't ask me
why!
It's kinda of a technojock sort of thing.
(Actually, each platform has its software/hardware merits and the Amiga can act
as a very nice HUB for file conversions and the like…also, I was always
indecisive and coudn't decide which machine I liked the most ..I have an old
ZX-81 and an Atari-ST)
