The card I'm using is a Diamond Speedstar. There IS a VESA.DRV file in the
resource directory, but it's not listed as a choise in the Ani Pro "Screen
Size" driver list. I wonder why not. Incidentally, all of the drivers listed
have .DRV as an extention. The driver I'm using for AutoCAD and 3D Studio is
RCTURBO.EXP. Obviously it won't work in the Ani Pro. animation player.
I'm going to be getting a TARGA board in the near future for output to video,
so all of this probably won't matter, but I'd still like to work this out for
the time being. Primarily for the purpose of displaying small files that can
fit on a floppy, on other machines. If I could just find a universal driver.

Tim,
This file (VESA.DRV) works in conjuntion with your VGA cards vesa driver. It
is not your cards vesa driver. You must look thru your VGA utilities for a
file called VESA.com or TLIVESA.exe or something like that. Only when Ani
Pro sees VESA compatability (either thru bios or your cards vesa utility)
will it show up in the screen size menu.

I just caught a piece of your comment. Are you in need of a VESA driver for
the (8-bit) Diamond Speedstar for AniPro? If so, I have one that works well,
VESAVGA.COM, 4080 bytes, dated 8/20/91. Do you need it?

All you should have to do is add the VESA BIOS extensions to your AUTOEXEC.BAT,
and the driver you need ships with anipro.
Look for \ANI\VESA\TSENG\TLIVESA, and add this statement to your
autoexec.bat…
C:\ANI\VESA\TSENG\TLIVESA
You can load it high if you need to (I used a Speedstar for 2 years before I
upgraded to a Viper!) When you load the VESA BIOS extensions, and the VESA
driver is in your \ANI\RESOURCE directory, you should have screen size settings
available for up to 1024×768.
