Who can recommend a good 15" MPRII multiscan or VGA-multiscan for the
Amiga 1200. Does anybody know if the EIZO F 340 i works well with the
Amiga 1200 ?
How much costs an PCMCIA SRAM card(1 MB or 2 MB) for the Amiga1200 in
the US?

Avoid PCMCIA RAM expansion if you can help it. It's often SLOWER THAN CHIP
RAM.
Get something like the Microbotics 1200z RAM/Clock/FPU card. It costs less
with 4MB and a good 68882, than any 2MB PCMCIA memory card I've seen.
The only problem with using a VGA monitor with the 1200 is that the "guru"
screens are 15KHz (Horizontal Freq.) screens, and VGA Monitors can't scan
that low.

I wanted buying a SRAM card(1 MB) because I will buy an internal turbo
board (68040, if they are available for the Amiga 1200) and I did not want
to sell the other internal expansion. In Germany a 4MB PS-Ram card costs
400.00 DM, an internal menory expansion with clock and 4 MB and optional
FPU (33 Mhz 68882 170.00 DM) 428.00 DM. I thought that the PCMCIA memory
cards are really much cheaper in the US than in Germany, but it seems that
it is not true. Now I will buy the internal one.
I know that VGA-multiscan monitors are not able to work with 15 KHz hori-
zontal freq. screens, but the AGA-chips can double the horizontal frequ-
ency and the frequency is a little bit under 30 KHz (e.g. 29.5 KHz). Some
VGA-multiscan monitors did not work, other works with the 29.5 KHz.
Normally VGA-multiscan monitors are cheaper then real multiscan monitors.
