My A3000 is refusing to talk to me. It is one of the early ones with the kickstart on disk. It starts up ok, but after the message "loading kickstart 2.x, reboooting system", the rebooting starts, the screen turns yellow, the power light flashes a few times and the screen goes black. There is no more activity from the hard disk. All help appreciated. Pete Jones, flying on AutoPilot from Brussels, Belgium

Pete, Yellow is one of the "strange" indications. It means that the CPU has found an error, before the error trapping (GURU) software was up and running. My first suspicion would be the KS disk itself, some problem with it. Fairly easy to check out…try another KS disk (presuming you have the original). Don

Don, I should have said "kickstart on hard disk". I do have a kickstart on floppy, though, and did try it. No luck. A friend at Commodore Belgium muttered something about co-processor problem, so I am going to sling it back and let the technicians have a look. thanks for the reply.
