#DF0: Shot!

Well, after not having any hardware problems at all with my A3000T, today,
POOF!
My DF0: drive will not read any disks, whatsoever. It just gives me the
"DF0:????" and "PC0:????" whenever I put a good disk in.
Before I go ripping into my (past warrantee) machine, does anyone here
think it more likely to be the disk drive or a chip?

Nevermind. It turned out to be a loose cable connection to the
motherboard. Working fine now.

Are you sure that the drive isn't just slightly out of line from the slot
in the case – I have a 3000T as well and have had similar problems, the
drive isn't fixed too firmly and can move up and down slightly, thus when
you insert a disk it doesn't sit right.
Take the front cover off and insert a disk, if it reads it ok, then you
know what the problem is :^)
It's just a case of getting the drive aligned with the slot correctly.

Thanks for the suggestions. I found that the drive cable on the
motherboard's end had worked loose of a few pins.
