Nobody appears to have responded to my plea in the message "AAPLAYHI – virt
8086 mode" so I'll ask about in a different section with a different header.
"Has AAPLAYHI.EXE been upgraded so that it can run in virtual 8086 mode?
Version 1.1 dated Oct 4, 1991 won't run under Windows or other protected mode
condtions."
Please confirm ASAP if there is a later AAPLAYHI than the above version? Has
anyone else had problems getting AAPLAYHI to coexist with HIMEM.SYS /
EMM386.EXE ?

The version of AAPLAYHI that is here on the Forum is the most current version.
I will do a little reearch and see if I can find a DOS based player that meets
your needs.

Well nothing comes up searching on a keyword of AAPLAYHI.
I have been informed by Autodesk UK that ANIPLAY ver 1.3 replaces AAPLAYHI
regarding issues of royalty free distribution in commercial products. Can you
please confirm that this is the case?
IN 1.0, Aniplay was not distributable, and AAPLAYHI was. In 1.3 ANIPLAY was
made distributable, and there was no longer a need for AAPLAYHI. You can use or
distribute both.
Search on a Keyword of PLAYER.
