Toaster 3.1 is here!

We just received our dealer copy of the Toaster 3.1 upgrade. The docs boast a
newer and more improved CG (complete with color gradients in text), several new
effects, and a 3X speed increase in saving Framestores…as well as many "bug
fixes". It will be sent free to all registered Toaster 3.0 and 4000 owners,
and the upgrade package is once again available to 2.0 owners for a MSRP of
$795 (we will be discounting it), and IT WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE THROUGH YOUR
LOCAL AUTHORIZED TOASTER/AMIGA DEALER WITH NO MAIL ORDER!!! YES!!! I'll post
some feedback after I get it loaded.

Just to clarify — this is being sent DIRECTLY to registered 3.0 users? The
dealer-only note applies only to the 2.0 folks?

How does Newtek know I'm a reg. user when the 3.0 upgrade package did not have
a reg. card/sheet/letter in it?

Call NewTek for your free upgrade to 3.1. There are a few new effects,
a couple of new color fonts, and some LightWave macros. They've also included
the models and better documentation for the tutorials.
I'd also bet that they've found a way to lock out LightRave.

Not only does 3.1 not work with LightRave but they add some
legaleeze that basically states that the software must run
on the machine that the hardware resides.
Anyways you now get to turn off LightWave render to DV1, so
render time should gain some speed.
