Sanford,
Just got back from Comdex! Found all sorts of little goodies… Looks like we
will have the first "Render Jungle's" available in January. BTW I'll call you
first of next week.
Matt / AM Labs
Matt,
I'm looking forward to treking the Jungle path to beautiful animations.
Sanford
I give up!! – when we go into production you get #1 !*@*?
Have a good turkey day – matt
Matt,
Sounds like you are having a little R & D blues…I have built
many a balky prototype and I have used the phrase "I give up!!" many
times. Then something clicks.
I hope production comes smoothly for your new machine.
Sanford
Thanks,
You'll get the first one – if you're brave enough! Not to scare you off, we do
have the P60/64MB prototype up and running. R4 gave us some headache's but
things are running smooth. We are waiting for the custom case and a few other
odds and ends.
Matt,
Sounds great.
I am looking forward to a spec. sheet with all the P90's listed, what
kind of ram, drives, etc. It will be P90's?
Sanford
Sanford,
Your right – P90's all the way!!! January release will be with P90's. Guess
what – we have DEC Alpha's on the board! 275MHz – roughly equal to thoroughput
of 8 P90's – We're getting ready for NT 3DS. What type of network do you have??
I ask because we're trying some ideas out with NE2000 10BT ISA and Fiber / PCI
with backbone. Should shuffle the data around a bit…
Matt
Natt,
(my nework)
My network is a piss-ant. I have three 486's and I transfer files and
batch render locally using Lap Link. Not much, but it's better than no network.
I'm not sophisticated in the network department although I have worked for a
company that used Novell…ithink it was 3.1…I'm not sure. They have 5
pentium 90's and two SGI Indigos plus an Indy on their net. It works great and
only crashes when there's a really important job running!
