I saw this thread and had to leap in.
I have the same problem with Stealth 64 DRAM PCI and windows NT WS3.5.
When it boots it now displays "No Signal" on my monitor (IDEK Vision
Master 17), or sometimes for a VERY short period "Too Fast". If I then
try to reboot back to DOS the Stealth card is still screwed up (even after hard
reset) and can only be cleared with a power down !!.
The same problem persists on two separate machines here, Gateway P5/60
and a clone with 66MHz Pentium and OPTI chipset.
I notice from this thread that Diamond have yet to respond to it.
That's a little alarming !!.
Please let me know if you do get a fix, and I'll do likewise.

I have a Micron P90 PCI with a Stealth 64PCI DRAM card. When I installed
NT 3.5 Server. the installation process auto-detected a generic "S3 compatible
display adapter". I configured it to 1024x768x256@72 hz. Works OK.

Thanks, but mine wouldn't fire up correctly. I have got going however
using the NT3.1 drivers from Diamond.
Waiting for comment from diamond on this one now.

Hi Graham.
I have exactly the same problem with the same kit. It only seems to occur (to
my knowledge) on Intel motherboards.
I got mine going with the 3.1 drivers as well, but theres warnings all over the
place.
If you get this sorted, could you let me know. Thanks.

Please tell me how you got through the install process. As I said at the
beginning of this thread, I have an Intel P90 Motherboard and after setup
switches to VGA mode the screen goes haywire. The boot sector has been updated
but I can't get past this point to finish the install. You mentioned that the
NT 3.1 drivers work but I don't know how to get to the point of selecting them.
HELP!!!

I must admit that I cheated there !!!
I have a second system and I nicked the display adapter out of that
during installation (et4000 type!!).
However, once installed, I had to go into DOS and copy the S3.DLL
and S3.SYS from the diamond utils/NT disc into the \windows\system32
and windows\system32\drivers directories (saved the old ones just in
case!!). Having done that it was all OK and I could select a new
display mode etc. BUT the new mode cannot be tested !!!!! before
commiting it to a reboot, so make sure it is OK for your monitor.
You will get warnings about using old drivers, but as they only
happen on my system when I change display modes, it's not a problem.

Sorry – didnt mention how to set up 3.1 drivers over 3.5.
Simple. Just copy s3.dll and s3.drv from the diamond driver disk over the ones
that are installed. They go in 2 different dirs – cant remember offhand where
tho.
I did this from dos. If you dont have dos on your m/c you will have probs.
I have to say I was a bit surprised the NT allows you to do this. You could
really screw your system up like this.
Should get you working anyway.

Not so I'm afraid. I also have a clone motherboard using the OPTI
chipset, and thats where it first showed.

I only seem to get warnings if I try to change the displat setup. As
I leave it fixed at 1024x768x256 it doesn't worry me.
