Do what Robert Nix said and you will be on your way.

PMJI Mike, << Do what Robert Nix said and you will be on your way. >> RN<< EXCEPTION! if you are using 3DS release 3 or below, you must first remove the R_ prefix, and add _I as a suffix. ex: for R_GRANIT.SXP, rename it to GRANIT_I.SXP>> I'm using release 4, and I had to change the names in the following way. Otherwise, a dialog opens saying "Can't find (garbage)" EX: R_AGAT.sxp must be changed to R_AGAT_I.sxp. Are these textures supposed to be different than the originals somehow ?

With these SXPs there is a subtle difference in the definition in the texture. Our routines are the product of continuous refinement. I keep a personal copy of every iteration of the routines because each offers something unique. It's part of the beauty of fractals. These routines work fine with 3, but they work better with 4. Rel. 4 allows better bump perturbation and 3D opacity. And, of course, Rel. 4 is faster. I've found a dramatic speed increase with Dust_i.axp. Robert is the math wizard. He makes optimal use of the power within 3D Studio. He will be able to provide you with help on the more technical aspects. The SXP demos in the library are locked. They can be unlocked if you purchase them. If you already own them, they should work okay. The material libraries in the IPAS USAGE Library area work well with the demos.

I have been checking out the complete line of SDP SXPs that came on the Visual Design CD (just discovered the demos!) Is it possible to purchase each SXP serarately, or do they have to be converted as they are grouped in the catalog?
