Steve, Everything looks fine except for a lack of desktop video hardware sections. While software defines, to a great degree, the nature of desktop video systems, we still need the hardware to run it on. The mass market co computers (PCs, Mac) are well enough covered and understood by most. The FAST, Matrox's, and Touchvisions have their own section already. Still, I think there needs to be a systems-level section to resolve the interconnect issues that come up. A hardware section might cover system cabling, signal timing, video formats (composite, Y/C, component), time code, and control types (RS422, control-L VISCA). There's no point in replicating what might be found elsewhere, though. In such cases, we should point someone to the correct forum (BPFORUM, CEFORUM). Other than that, I wouldn't mind hanging my cursor here on a regular basis. Bruce

Bruce, As far as the message sections go, I think that I had hoped that "A/V Equipment" would capture the "hardware" issues, but maybe it would be better named "A/V Hardware". Do you think that would help? Or can you think of something else that might describe (in 19 characters or less) such a section? -John
