Video Scripting Package

Can anyone recommend a good video presentation scripting package?
I've read the ads on products like The Director and TV*Show. Has anyone here
had any experience with any of these products?

I have both and would suggest that you get both if you can afford it since
one allows great power and freedom (Director) and the other allows 50
great transitions from speech and pics and objects with no programming,
just menus. If you are good at Basic programming the Director is quickly
usable. The TV*SHOW has simpler transitions possible, but has some that
the director cannot do. One is a programming language specializing at
screen control (overscan is handled better here than with any other
packagI've seen) and the other is the most sophisticated slideshow program
and easiest to use I've seen. Both outshine any other package I've seen.

One more question – did you say that TV*Show allows IFF sound control from the
script?

The Aegis VideoTitler program comes with VideoSeg. VideoSeg is a slide show
program that also supports ANIM's. The director also looks like a good system.
How rare and wonderful a thing it is to see a manufacturer even _recognize_ the
existence of a competetive product, much less make a positive comment about it!
I do it all the time in my business, and have found it to make more sales than
not.

Not unusual for Aegis. They have recommended PCLO to many people that
have wanted a good CAD program when the inquiring party mentioned that they
wanted to do circuit board design instead of try to sell them DrawPlus.
DrawPlus is good by the way but does not have the special features for board
design that PCLO has. Good companies selling good products don't have to worry
about loosing sales in vertical markets (then I guess that you already know
that). What do you do to pay for your toys (If you don't mind my asking)?

I design and license new toy and game ideas to over a hundred manufacturers
around the world (including Milton Bradley, Parker Brothers, etc.)

The Director supports the IFF ANIM format. It makes me feel great to see
developers working toward standards that benifit ALL products as opposed to
private formats that benifit no-one. This means that the Director will play
animations created with VideoScape 3D and VideoTitler. So it can only help our
products!!!! Thanks.
