#Ndump.tmp deleted
7 messages in this thread
Gus,
Has there been an upgrade to NDUMP.BAT that will delete the NDUMP.TMP file in
the c:\3ds\net directory? Sometimes when one animation in the render que
finishes and another one begins the PAR doesn't record the last few frames and
when the next animation starts to render the NDUMP.BAT file doesn't look for
frame zero (it is still looking for one of the frames near the end of the last
animation).
Thanks,
Jim Beyer
Jim:
There will be another program (I hate to call it an upgrade since it is a
totally new program) with an upgrade path, called PAR-OUT.IXP – it is
specifically written for the PAR, and takes care of all the issues we have had
users ask for, in addition to a series of other PAR-specific programs, such as
the ability to control the PAR totally from within 3DS.
Will hopefully ship before the first of the year, Gus willing. :^)

Greg,
Thanks, I look forward to seeing it. For now I'll just add a batch file to my
video post entry that deletes the ndump.tmp file after rendering is complete.

Even easier – instead of adding another batch file, just add "del %1" as the
last line in the batch file you are using for NDUMP!
