Yes 3.1 is available (and running here) for the A2000 from: Expert Services 7559 Mall Road Florence, KY 41042 606 371-9690 I think there's at least one other place. I'm sure somebody else will chime in. Expert Services is where I got it for my A2000. Robb

I received my 3.1 for my rev 4.x 2000 recently. I hope to install it on Sunday. Any hints for installing it, reformatting my hard drive, etc.? Usenet: Ernie_Gorrie@mindlink.bc.ca Port Coquitlam, BC, Canada

At present there is no new version of AmigaDOS for any Amiga. I believe the 3.1 shipping from Germany is being distributed by the developer to support their new hardware product. Needless to say, Commodore never authorized the release. Whoever buys Commodore will probably be looking for some payback. Hank/Videology – Where you get all the P.O.M.P. under all Circumstances

From where do you get that information? I haven't seen the contract, but my understanding is that there is a legitimate licensee of 3.1.

Henry, That information is incorrect, AmigaDOS 3.1 is on the market legally at this time. -Suzan-

Henry, That is not the case. VillageTronic licensed 3.1 from Commodore Germany for distribution in Germany. Expert Services has US distribution rights, Blittersoft has the UK rights, etc. Whether Commodore Germany had the right to license the software for distribution is mostly a moot point. The trustee did not inhibit the distribution in any way. -sja
