#AAPLAY.DLL
5 messages in this thread
Hello Brian, after several document passing and many phone call, eventually I
got the no-logo version AAPLAY.DLL I don't need to play full screen animation,
can I just distribute the AAPLAY.DLL ? i.e. not distribute AAVGA.DLL ? Also,
can I put the AAPLAY.DLL in my application's directory rather than Windows'
system directory ? Thanks.

LAM,
Yes to everything.
You may distribute, or not distribute, whichever versions of the .DLL you want.
I assume an agreement was signed with Autodesk when you got the logo-less .DLL.
You should be able to put the .DLL in any subdirectory, it is merely Windows
convention to put it in the SYSTEM directory.

Yes, eventually I got the method….

Then I will put it in the applications dir, since I hate program make my
windows\system directory become a rubbish bin !!!!! Just throw everything in
and not delete.

Hi Brian,
I only caught some of this thread. If I use AAPLAY.dll with the logo do I
still need to sign something with Autodesk?

Only if you are commercially distributing it (i.e. getting money for your
program). If you are just giving out, that is fine. It is freely distributable
for non-commercial applications.
