#Flc's in Visual Basic
7 messages in this thread
We need to run flics in a visual basic (3.0) application but don't sem to be
able to control the AAPlayer the same way as other MCI devices. (i.e., when to
play, where etc.). Any ideas?
Colin,
The MCI driver (MCIAAP.DRV) has a limited amount of MCI calls that it supports.
You can download the list of supported commands in the file MCIAAP.ZIP. This
file contains a text document with the supported command set.

P.S. You might also want the Animation Support Libraries. This developers kit
includes C and Visual Basic Programmers reference manuals for the Windows
Player, Fliclib and File Format manuals, Code examples and other support files,
POCO and POE reference manuals, and more. You can order this kit directly from
Autodesk by calling 800-964-6432. The kit costs about $25.

Are you sure about the price or was that a spelling mistake ?
Thanks Andy,Uk

$25. Twenty-five dollars. Two Thousand Five Hundred pennies.
Much of what is in the developers kit is found in the public domain, without
documentation. The reason most people buy this kit is for the reference
manuals.

How much will it cost if I used the aaplay.dll in screen savers I produced?
eg retail/commercial price of screen saver 30 dollars.

Colin,
Give Danny a call (214) 960-6862 DC Systems. He's a programmer analyst with a
sister company of ours. He hangs out on internet but I don't remember his ID.
