So you started with 1 monoscopic picture and created the stereoscopic one?
That's pretty slick. The manual that comes with the glasses states that you
need to make a stencil of the object (I assume this means cutting out the
image you want to duplicate from the IFF picture) and the shift it (I
guess). This is my first work with graphics applications on this machine so
I'm struggling a bit… Hopefully I can figure out how to convert a
standard IFF picture into 3D before I graduate!?! Thanx again, Paul
Paul – for some strange reason known only to them, Haitex takes th approach
]of lowering the river intstead of raising the drawbridge. We feel that
moving the camera to replicate eye separation makes infinitely more sense
than trying moving all the objects. Using the "stencil" function in Turbo
Silver, you could take a standard IFF picture apart, ans brushes and make a
Stereo picture. I haven't tried that yet, but it should work just fine.

OK…. The idiot is starting to figure this out 🙂 You're saying to just
load a standard IFF monoscopic picture into TS and then just re-adjust the
camara angle? Boy.. I'll get this eventually… Question.. How does TS know
which "object" in a standard monoscopic picture is in the "foreground" and

Stan, Trust me in the fact that I'm REALLY trying to figure this out… OK.
I firgured I needed to created an object so as to use an IFF Brush to place
the mono picture on it. I used the ADD/Surface command and the gave me a
nice flat surface. And that's about as far as I get! I was able to Scale it
in the attributes menu to make it larger, I was UNABLE to rotate it along
the X-axis so it would be a wall and not a floor. I then Added an axis and
tried to make it larger but the Size command in the attributes menu seems
to have a mind of its own! Sometimes it will make one axis long sometimes
not… I know I must be missing something relatively easy. Is it possible
to have a Surface the exact size of the screen facing forward and then
simply use an IFF Brush to place a picture on it. Then I assume I'd render
it then shift camera angle and re-render for the stereo view. But then
again, I could be COMPLETELY off base… Thanx again for your time, Paul
Paul – No that wouldn't work. In TS we have the unique abilit to use a
brush as a brush. We call it stencil. It becomes a 1 pixel thick object
that can "live" in the 3D world. It can have all the attributes of a 3D
object, even cast shadows, but it can bee only seen from the front or back.
You could "chop" up an IFF picture into brushes, then re-asseble them in TS
as objects at various depths etc, then make two renderings each with a
different camera view. <==Stan
