#How to Teleprompt?

I'd like to build a teleprompter for our college TV studio: we have a group of
students fired up about starting a bi-weekly, live cable-TV ch. 3 (comm.
access) news program. Our Comm. Studies Dept. is small, but growing.
It seems like the Amiga would make a great format for a teleprompter ( I just
bought a Toaster/2000 a month ago for my part-time home-based video production
business). Is there SOFTWARE available for teleprompting on the Amiga?
Does anyone have advice on how to D-I-Y make a Teleprompter? I know I need a
monitor, 2-way glass, and a way to mount these.

You should GO AMIGAARTS and then post a message in the Desktop Video
message area. You'll find most of the Amiga/Video pros there.
I can say that I do remember some company producing teleprompting
equipment for use with the Amiga. The others might know who to contact.

Welcome to the DTV Forum. I saw an Amiga based tele-prompter solution
demonstrated at a Video Toaster User Group about 6 months ago and know the
guy who demonstrated it. If you don't find anything in AmigaArts I am
sure that I could call him and get some more information for you.

It just might be my teleprompting software that they're talking about. It's
called Smooth Talker and was featured in Video Toaster User magazine back in
May. In the USA, call Shawn McDermott on 407- 966 3565. He can supply the
software (with remote speed controller) plus all you'll need in the way of
monitor, glass, hood and mounting hardware.
