Does anyone know where I can find info on a white carving stone in the
Tenn/Kentucky area? I do carving and I have heard of a nice, soft stone that is
in this area. I have contacted local rock shops and they weren't able to help
me. Where can I go for this info. All help is appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like alabaster, which is a form of gypsum. It's nice carving material,
and sometimes is found in pink. What kind of info are you looking for?
