Hello Brian, I would like to ask if I make an animation with, say, whit background, and the animation use 256 colors (or become 236 in Windows). And I draw a 256 color picture (same color table with the animation) can I overlay the animation on top of the picture in Windows ? i.e use AAPLAY.DLL ? I want to do this because I need to make a software with 1 background graphic and several animations will play on top of it (not at the same time). Thanks. Regds LAM Chi-fung

LAM, I am sorry, but the .DLL and the FLC format do not support transparency. If that is absolutely necessary for your application, you might need to change formats to one that does. -Brian

LAM: The Smacker SDK support transparency under both DOS and Windows. And you get compression to boot! Call Mitch at 801-322-4300 and he can fax full info. ->Jeff
