I'm in a similar situation. I received an Pan. Palmcorder for a present and am
looking for a better way to edit then hooking it up straight to the VCR and
stopping/starting/stopping etc.
I'm also on the lookout and will post anything I find. Hopefully between the
two of us (and everyone else who has this "problem") we'll find a satisfactory
solution,
Hey, maybe someone from Video Director (or another company) will read it and
produce a version for us VHS-C guys!

Hi, Adam.
I think there is a Sony VisCA interface so that you can send commands in PC
Windows software to directly control the VCR connected to your PC through an
RS-232c line/port. However, your camcorder need to support that as well to
make it work.
