Hi Rob!
I've got an A2000 with an 030 card, 2091 controller and 9 megs RAM. Chip
RAM is a single meg, and I've been lax getting it upgraded with a MegaChip
or something. After PS loads, I've got about a half meg left in Chip RAM,
actually about 600k if it's the only program running. As I said, I wanna
add another meg Chip RAM and at least 20 megs total RAM. I keep getting
the "out of memory!" message when importing more than a couple scanned
photos at 2-300k each, more for color. It doesn't seem like the program
accesses all the RAM available to it. 9 megs ain't a bunch, but it isn't
too shabby either. I suppose it's because the program reserves memory for
printing, or it has to use FAST RAM or something, right? I'd love to know
what upgrades to make.

On the memory problem, you could get Gigamem, a virtual memory manager for the
Amiga. It will let you use your HD as extra computer memory. It's slow but
workable, I used it alot on my A3000 and now on my A4000 for Pagestream (even
though the A4000 has 24megs of ram). The faster the hard drive you have (or use
for the Gigamem) the faster it will work.

As I just found out, it ONLY works on Amiga's with an MMU.

Hi Carson!
What you really should do, is upgrading to 2Megs of Chipram. I haven`t
done either, but I do not mess around with colored things in PS, because I
have no possibility to print colors…
Another point would be to close the Workbench while PS is running (see New
Uploads for CloseWB, for example), this saves a bit of ChipRam, too.
