#PS Questions

Michael:
Thanks for the input. I've changed the colors to 16 and everything works
fine, except I do notice the program reacts a little slower now.
As for equipment, I've got an A2000 with an 030.
Gray box: I do set the screen frequency when I DL to lino. I specify in
the order form that I want 128 frequency and a 45 deg. screen angle for
the whole doc. In addition, I always set these params. when I import a
PostScript image, but I can't do so in the Edit Coordinates requester for
a non-PS image. Even on my 600 dpi HP4 I notice that black text is
beautiful and jaggie-free, but anything done in gray just doesn't have the
same resolution.
Suggestions?
Thanks again,
Carson
16 color mode is slower: yes, the more colors you use, the slower your Amiga
will be. This is true of all programs, not just PageStream. Use 4 color for
normal work, and 8 or 16 color modes when you need it.
Gray: remember that gray is created by generating a screen. It can't be as
smooth as solid black. If you think you're having a problem beyond this, please
send in a sample for me to look at.
