#A4000 Monitor Advice

Hello,
I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a monitor to use with a
A4000 to replace a C=1950… I need something that syncs from at least 15KHz –
35KHz Horizontal, to at least 50Hz – 80Hz+ Vertical… I'm also looking for
something that will do at least 800×600 Non-interlaced. Looking around the $500
mark…
Any recommendations?

I just purchased the best Amiga monitor I've ever owned. It's a Mitsubishi
HCD3905L9ATR, 20" monitor for $695. I know that's higher than what you wanted
to spend but believe me it's worth it. It syncs from 15KHz – 38KHz and is a
high persistence monitor so even interlaced at 1200×1000 (from my GVP Spectrum)
the picture is just about rock solid. I usually run it at NI 800×600 or
InterLaced at 1024×768 (but it doesn't flicker). Using a paint program, like
Brilliance, with this monitor is like painting on a real canvas 😉 Pagestream
looks great too! I purchased mine from "The Video Works" 800-838-1031, they
gave great service. Hope this helps.

That is a bit more than I was interested in throwing at a monitor, but it is
also a 20 inch… Sigh. Does it have the full bevy of controls? Like degauss,
pincusion in & out, horizontal & vertical positioning/size, and barreling
in/out? Is it a shiny or mat screen? How is the curvature? Sorry for all the
questions, but I like to make informed purchases… ;->

Yes it has all those controls, and the screen is shiny. It's not flat, but the
curve is about the same, in proportion, as my NEC 3D.
