I take it you never saw any of the NeXT computers before they quit
making hardware? Because if you ever saw one, it would HAVE to be on
your list.

I did see one, and it isn't on my list. It did have some good points, but
it had its drawbacks also.

I'm with you! The color NeXT was the closest thing I've run across that
reminded me of an Amiga on steriods 🙂

I mostly use Macs, but what I've always heard (and agree with) is that
the Turbo Color NextStation was what the Mac wanted to be when it
grew up. You can still get the NextStep operating system, but you
have to run it on Intel boxes (gross!) or buy an H-P PA-RISC box.
Beginning in a few months, you can also run it on Sun workstations
and machines running DEC's Alpha chip, either of which would be
pretty cool.
Nice to hear you agree about "the NeXT big thing."
