#So Now There are Four

I've heard that Rush Limbaugh is one of the persons interested in
acquiring the Amiga.
Supposedly he has one with a Video Toaster at home. He is reported
to be keenly interested in restarting the production of the machine,
with continuing devlopment of advanced models.
Reportedly there will be only one noticable change to the machine
made immediately….
The new production models will not have a left Amiga key. Rush feels
that nothing good has ever come from the left, so a left Amiga key is
redundant and un-necessary. This cost, and space savings will allow
Rush to produce Amigas with an enlarged right Amiga key, wich will
take over all the functions of the function keys. According to Rush
the new motto is "When it's Right, it's right."
Merry Christmas to all….
– Alex… Celebrating 10 years on Compuserve
Sorry, Alex, but nothing about this saga has been "Rushed" 🙂

SYSTEM FAILURE: could not execute command " RESUME PRODUCTION"
could not find file "NEW OWNER"
Thanks for the humor – It came at a good time!!

Cute. He _does_ have a Toaster, though — I've seen many of the
transitions (including Kiki waving the wand) on his TV show.
The TV show uses the Toaster … Rush's personal computers are all
Macs.

Oh, I know he doesn't use the Toaster himself. His crew seems to like
it, though. And I figured he used a Mac from the way his reply to
FAIR was available in ASCII and Mac MS Word format only. I got the
ASCII version and ignored all the little rectangles at the ends of
the lines. 😉
Perhaps Steve should offer to re-format his document in Amiga-friendly format,
given the apparent popularity of the downloads on Compuserve! It got so busy,
CIS gave him his own 'go rushdl' forum, they said last night!
I hadn't seen Rush's TV show in a while. As a heavily taxed yet productive
self-employed person, I was astounded to hear such "radical" notions on
ordinary television. I was cheering his rant until he said something about
wanting to close down immigration.

Oh, you mean on the TV show last night? (I usually don't bother with the
reruns.) Yeah, they did — I tried to get it from the Issues forum but
kept getting blocked out because the forum was always at capacity.

I don't remember his saying anything of that nature. He has described
others' ideas, though, and has expressed negative opinions about some
(such as a general halting of legal immigration).
– Jim, on AP!
You are right. He did not say anything about wanting to close down
immigration. What he did was comment on how people in the media severely
criticize those who wish to crack down on ILLEGAL immigration.
Rush get's many bad raps froms misquotes like that.
