You must have been an altar boy way back when then. Latin has not been
used in a mass since the late 60's early 70's. About the only place it is
still used is during the Christmas and Easter mass at the Vatican.

Yep — 'bout the time the church started changing the "rules" … like eating
meat on Fridays was now okay, gotta conduct the mass in English (altho the
previous 1900 years it was latin only), etc. So, I figured that if the
Catholic god is that fickle that he (thru his papal voice) can't even get the
rules straight, I could do without.
Now, if you want a good, old fashioned high mass in latin, go to an Anglican
service … it's more Catholic than the original (at least here in Denver).

While I have very dim recollections of services in latin, my mom still
remembers the latin services and she misses them (she said it sounded more
reverent in latin than it did in the language of choice). Either way it
does not really matter as the way I look at it God, while maybe fickle,
should not really need a specific language to be communicated with.

HeHe….. took latin in High School ( where you pronounce your "V"'s as
"W"'s )…. but never got into dominoes….. 🙁 ….. oh well.
