Anthony, first you must unarc the program. I am assuming, from the way your message is written, that you do not have ZOO. So: go to Lib4 of AmigaTech and get: ARC.EXE – to unpack zoo with ZOO201 – to unapck Monop.zoo with. When you get them, put ARC in your c: directory of your workbench, and do rename it to ARC. then, with your downloads disk in drive 1, do these things: MAKEDIR DF1:ZOO CD DF1:ZOO ARC X DF1:ZOO201 When that is finished, there will be a file called ZOO in the Zoo201 directory of df1: Do this: COPY DF1:ZOO/ZOO DF0:C/ZOO Now for Monopoly: MAKEDIR DF1:MONOPOLY CD DF1:MONOPOLY ZOO X// DF1:MONOP.ZOO Now, if you want icons on that disk in drive 1, do this: COPY DF0:EMPTY.INFO DF1:MONOPOLY.INFO From there, you should be able to click on the drawer icon for Zoo, and then click on the icon for the game. ……Betty

Anthony: It's a compressed file, and you need to decompress it. The utilities you need are in AmigaTEch lib 4. I know this is going to sound like a lot, but if you intend to DL much from here, it will be worth it, as virtually every file here is either an ARC, a ZOO or an LZH (those will be the last three letters in the file name, so you know which compression utility to use). You should dl all of the following: ARC.EXE, ZOO201.ARC, LHARC.ZOO and ARCHLP.EXE First, open a cli, get into the directory into which you dl'd these files (let's say it's the root directory of a disk in DF1: — so you'd do that by entering the command CD DF1:). Now, simply type ARCHLP.EXE, and hit the return key. This program (the EXE means it is an uncompressed program) will help you understand all of these different utilities. Once you've learned a bit about them, you are ready to use them. First change the name of ARC.EXE to a simple ARC (i.e. use the command "rename arc.exe arc), and copy arc into your "c" directory on the disk you booted <continued>

<continuation> from (probably in df0: unless you have a hard disk). Now you can unarc ZOO201.ARC. (You should still be in the same dir with it, so issue this command "arc x zoo201.arc".) When that's done, copy zoo to the same C dir (if you start to run out of room on a workbench, just delete all the printer drivers you don't need in the "devs" directory). Now you ar ready to unzoo LHARC.ZOO (btw, that may be LHARC1.ZOO). Do that by entering "zoo x lharc.zoo". Then put lharc into the C dir, and you're done. You can now unarc, unzoo or unlzh any file! Finally, for the monopoly game you dl'd, you need to use a special zoo command, because if I remember correctly, it has some nested directories in it. So, use this command: zoo x// monop.zoo The two "/"s tell it to look for nested directories in the file, and, if it finds them, to create those directories as it uncompresses the file. Actually, I use that command to unzoo all ZOO files, just in case. It won't hurt if there aren't any nested dirs in the file. Ray Lewis

Anthony, You'll need the program ZOO201.ARC, and ARC.EXE. ARC.EXE is an archiving program that will let you extract the ZOO utility, which in turn will be used to un-ZOO the monopo.zoo file. Check out the file ARCHLP.EXE in library 4 of AmigaTech (that's where ARC.EXE and ZOO201.ARC are) for a tutorial on compression programs for the Amiga. It explains how to use ARC, LHARC, ZOO, and WARP. Steve
