I'm trying to use AFax with my Reveal 14.4 Fax/Modem. I can't seem to get it
to work. I've looked through the config file and it looks like everything is
all right there. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you're in the same boat as me. I just DL AFax the other
day and can't get it going either. How far did you get? Right now it will
run, I clicked on "NEW" and selected one of the files from "FaxDocs". I
tried "VIEW" and it showed me the fax. I hit "SEND" and then checked the
QPOS and the last line said:
94/12/28 – 22:11:52 (2 sec) Fail (255) on Fax Transmit
The log file shows:
Open Font cmr10.Font 30 Failed
73 Failed
29 Failed
AFaxSend Start-up
If I use a different file I don't get the Font CMR10… Failed, but the
AFaxSend Start-up is there. I assume that something is wrong in the
startup, but everything is as the instructions say it should be.
I'll be watching for any help or info you get.

I have a USR Sportster 14400 Fax Modem CCITT V.32 bis with V.42 bis
I get that error, too. I also get Fail (4) errors. One time, in the window,
it printed "ATDT 691099", but before the modem initialised, it stopped. All
well…
I use a Reveal 14.4…

Hopefully someone will come up with some help, meanwhile I'll
continue to look over this and see what I can figure. It sounds like yours
got a little further than mine, I never get to the dial sequence. Have you
tried recieving any fax yet? If I get time on the weekend I'm going to try
that part of it.

No, haven't tried receiving. I don' tknow anyone in the area that can fax me
anything. I figure if I can't send, I can't receive *8^) Kevin
