To recap, the Toaster covers two of the A4000's 4 slots, the Flyer would cover up a third slot. Since the Flyer provides three SCSI-II interfaces (only two of which are dedicated to the A/B virtual D2 digital tape decks) you can use the third SCSI-II for up to seven additional SCSI devices (such as DAT's, CD-ROM's, hard drives, etc). This would leave you with one ZORRO slot. This could be used for the AD516 or AD1012 board for audio or the one TBC you need for the Flyer. Of course, the TBC could be installed in any external PC chassis since it only requires PC power. I'm afraid I don't recall what three devices you were using to fill up the A4000 slots. However, the Toaster, AD1012 and Flyer combo would do it. Since Sunrize was selling the AD1012 for less than $100 at VTU Expo, you might look into that solution. But, I called NewTek the other day and was told that the Flyer includes 16-bit 8-track stereo audio as part of the system. Why would you want an AD1012 when the flyer will include a much greater capability as part of the deal? Dale

Henry, I have the Toster and the Sunrize stereo board. I think you meant to say they were selling it for $1000 for $100. If it was $100 I'll scream. So them, I really don't need to worry about needing any more ZORRO slots, since everthing else I might want to install could either be done externally or via a SCSI connection. Fred

Fred, They were selling the AD516 for a show special of $1000 and the AD1012 was being offered at the BLOW OUT PRICE of $100. Sorry about that. It may be available still since it seems they plan on cleaning out inventory. Hank Hank/Videology Where you get all the P.O.M.P. under all circumstances.

Henry, My mistake. I own the AD516 which I bought for $999. with some additional programs thrown in for free. The AD1012 is the non-stereo version. I'm use to seeing the higher model number being the more expensive system. But, that price of $100 is really something. I think at the time they were selling the AD516 for $1000 the AD1012 was something like 5 or 6 hundred dollars. I guess I missed a good show. If I didn't have some much work in the house and everybody wants it done by the end of the year, I would have been there. Fred
