Well, Don't know about 'only the top twenty ibm programs', of course I don't have them ALL, but such MINOR utility type programs like "1DIR" work perfectly, which leads me to believe that at least with this beta version of the Transformer, finding out exactly what WILL work is a hit-or-miss trial & error proposition. Some programs lock up the Amiga, others re-boot it by themselves, others work picture perfectly, others work "sort of". If the idea of capturing the general office business market that IBM pretty much has a lock on by promoting the Amiga in concert with the Transformer software is based only on its ability to run 20 pieces of software, I doubt seriously you'll see too many Amigas replacing PC's in offices. They'll have to make it a LOT more compatible! What I have here IS a good start, however, and I'm pretty amazed that it even does as much as it does! BTW, a local LARGE Amiga dealer told me that they have "HEARD" that the Release vers of Transformer, AND the 5.25" drive (and possibly even the "Accellerator" board) are *supposed* to be shipped to Amiga distributors on 1/15/86. None of this confirmed.
