With your permission, I will forward your message to where everyone can see
it. We have a number of qualified people in our forum. I personaly am not
much of a writer, but Bela Lubkin, my co-sysop may be interested (73767,3015)
…Gary Sarff (PPN unknown) has (I believe) written for Computer Language,
William Volk of Aegis software is online, Bruce Webster of Byte has stopped
in from time to time, Bob Perez of VMCO fame is here almost daily, Joe
Kiasler is doing some interesting things…get in touch with them.
George, I would appreciate it very much if you would pass my inquiry on to
the Forum at large. Let me repeat what we are looking for. We are thinking
about starting a new column in Dr. Dobb's Journal called 68K Toolbox covering
the popular 68K micros, including the Mac, ST and Amiga. We are looking for
people who would be willing to write about programming on these machines.
What we want specifically is someone who can write a regular column
accompanied by a significant listing. We are looking for good examples of 68K
assembler or C (or other HLLs) or some nice utilities. The columnist does not
have to write every month. We are seriously considering rotating columnists.
Anyone interested should leave me a message in the DDJ Forum (G DDJ). We are
not yet fully online (we still have some things to work out with CIS), so if
you get the message "That page is empty" try back again in a few days. Thanks
for your interest. Frank DeRose [76703,4060]
Frank: I might be interested in doing some columns. I recently came close to
closing a deal with a publisher to create a new, 68K-based micro magazine,
but the publisher opted out at the last minute. Presently, I'm writing
freelance with a monthly column on C in MacUser (the first installment begins
with the next issue).
If interested in discussing this further, let me know. — Bob Perez
