#Animation Timing Prob.
2 messages in this thread
We have two Amigas, a 1000 and a 2000, in a videographics production studio
environment. We transfer graphics in 1" and S-VHS settings. The 2000 is
used in the S-VHS bay, and has an internal Magni board for video out.
Problem is: animations created in Deluxe Paint III on the 1000 and
transferred to the 2000 for transfer to tape do NOT play at the proper
speed. We have noticed a consistent slowing of playback on the 2000 when
compared with the speed on the 1000. I suspect the Magni board is
influencing this. Does anyone have specific data to support this? Or
other ideas? If you KNOW what is wrong, any idea how I can correct for the
problem? Thanks. If you prefer, please call me, tollfree, 800-327-6296, to
discuss further.
Do you have a hard drive installed in the 2000 and not in the 1000? I've
heard rumors that certain hard drive controllers can slow down overall
system operation (even when the drive is not being accessed) which might
explain this. I would *NOT* suspect the Magni board (although you could
prove/disprove this by removing it temporarily and running an animation
sequence that you have found runs slow).
