I was wondering how the Pixelations PostScript fonts work, if you have a
PostScript printer. I saw one of your ads that said they come with bitmap
fonts, presumably for use with Pro Page. How do your fonts get downloaded
before Pro Page sends its info?
There are several methods for dealing with the fact that Professional Page
(unlike PageStream) makes life quite difficult for downloadable PostScript
fonts. The first is buy our PostScript Printer Utility which lets you
download the fonts to your PostScript printer and make them resident. A
second approach is to download the fonts using some other interface (not as
convenient). A third approach is to insert the PostScript source for the
font in the "psprlg" of ProPage. A fourth is to insert the PostScript
source into the document using either our PostScript Printer Utility or the
program "PPI" which we're making available to our customers.
