Dear Steve,
My dialing setup for compuserve says "1200 baud setup FN81" I'm not
sure what this means, although I assume this means FULL PARITY, 8 BITS, 1
STOP BIT. Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi, sorry to butt in, but the setting means full duplex, no parity.. I have
Baud Bandit, but am still trying to find time to set it up. I do understand
the frustration with comm programs however. I doubt that there are more
differences in any other sort of software…and I am just setting it up so
that I can download JRcom or whap from this forum. Mean while I am sneaking
in on a PC.
Actually, it means "full duplex, no parity, 8 bits, 1 stop bit". That
should be OK for your set up. I don't remeber which terminal program you
are using….which one is it?

I haven't followed this thread so I don't know what the problem is (if
indeed there is a problem). I just wanted to butt in and let you know that
the most current version of Access! is 1.42. Keith Young has not updated
it in quite a while due to demands on his time from his "real job".
However, I think you'll find Access 1.42 very solid (if you don't run in
under 2.0) and it does support CIS QB Protocol. It's available here in in
Library 5 as ACC142.ARC.

As Steve pointed out, there is a newer version of ACCESS. You might try
that to see if it solves your problem.
