I have no idea where you are supposed to get the "newer" BIOS. As usual,
the only information I have about the BIOS is, actually, what comes in the
autoexec.bat file on the Janus software, as the bridgeboard manual sure
doesn't bother to mention it. I guess we have to wait until someone with
more pull or technical prowess is able to find out. I won't hold my breath
waiting for CBM to call or write with an announcement that I can order
one…the tech from Plus didn't bother to return my call, and at $5 a call
I've decided to wait this one out a bit longer.

There are a lot of xt and at bb's out there with older rom's on them that
can be upgraded, which is known to reduce certain problems such as 3rd
party hardware incompatibilities, etc. Dealers received a notice over a
year ago about these chips.

Probably newer versions of the BIOS are supposed to be available at
authorized dealers. This is a nice thought; however, my experience has
been
that dealers' support of the Bridgeboard is abysmal. Probably a better
source would be your local clone-monger.
