Jacquie, I have a retail food store (like a 7-11). I use SBPro for my Accounts Payable and checking. I have around 150 vendors and write close to 30 checks a week. I can't tell you how much time SBPro has saved me. I have tried all the commercial Payables/Accounting packages for both Amiga and IBM and nothing satisfied me, so I bought SBPro and wrote my own the way I wanted it. My program prompts for vendors by name, validates invoice dates and amounts, talks, ages the payables, prints reports, prints check vouchers and checks, updates the checkbook, etc. It is all high specialized for my needs and makes my job so much easier and more accurate. All I can tell you is to ask around for source code and study it and try little things first. You will eventually grasp it piece by piece. It took me several months to get up to speed and having a working payables application, but it was worth it. There is nothing to compare with SBPro. Yes, you can do inventory, payables, receivables or anything else you might want, but it's not easy especially if you don't have an accounting or programming background. There used to be a company that was selling a complete SBPro accounting system for Amiga. Check the magazines for their ad. And ask questions. If you hit a snag, post a question. Someone will be here to try to answer. I sure wish people would put up some of their applications into the library here. It's hard to believe that after all these years the library is empty. Even simple apps would help. I wonder if Precision might have some old apps or pieces of apps they might be willing to put up… Take care and don't get discouraged. David Czaya
