Perhaps some of you have noticed that I have not been much in evidence for
the past few days. I may be even less so for another week or so.
On Feb. 4, my husband had to enter the hospital with a severe heart
problems. He has been in the Cardiac Care Unit from that time, having been
transferred to a different hospital in the meantime. He is scheduled to
have heart bypass surgery on Monday morning – at least four bypasses, and
ossibly even five or six. He is not a good candidate for this surgery due
to his weakened condition, but we are STILL optimistic. We expect him to
come through with flying colors and to be in better health after surgery
than he has been for some time. After he is able to leave the hospital, I
will be back to my normal participation here.
I know that many among our membership here believe in prayer – as I do. If
you are one of them, your prayers during these days will be greatly
appreciated.
I look forward to the time when I can once again do my full share of work
in the AmigaForums.

There's not much we can say in times like these, except that you and
your husband will be mentally in my thoughts and prayers.
I do hope his recovery is complete and quick.

My husband is so greatly improved since the surgery that we can hardly
believe it. We are still terribly busy, and it takes almost all of my time
getting to the hospital for all I need to do there, and still taking care
of errands and other chores, but things are improving beyond our wildest
dreams. I know that all the prayers offered on Richard's behalf have made
a difference, and I'm so grateful.

My grandfather had by-pass surgery, and I was amazed at how quickly he
recovered… it seemed the stitches were invisible after about three
weeks! It's wonderful he's doing well. Take good care of him!
We can hardly wait for him to be up and about, John. If all goes as well
as it has been going, he will get out of intensive care tomorrow. After 2
1/2 weeks in there, he is certainly ready to be in a less restrictive
environment!
It's always wonderful to hear of others who have had this surgery and have
done well – and almost everyone we have heard about has found an improved
life-style once the recuperation period is over. We look forward to it.
