Hi there, I'm looking for Amiga BBS games, or a list of such. Does anyone
know where I can find some. I don't care if there PD or Production games, I
just need to know if they exist, where i can download them or buy them, and
what there like. There are almost no Amiga bbs games in the Ottawa (Canada)
area, and I would like to provide these on my BBS. One of the local boards
(OMX) has a game called perihelion (which is good, but that board is hard
to log on to because it's run by Steve Tibbets, and He's a popular guy!)
and I have a copy of Empire, which I am trying (aaarrrghh!) t to get
working on with my BBS software, but I would love to know if any others
exist. If ANYONE can help, please drop me a line at 73500,505, it would be
really appreciated.

What BBS software are you running?

I'm using C-Net. The manual says that I should be able to run any
networking game through it, because of its ability to acess AmigaDOS
commands directly. It's a powerful package, and the best I've seen so far
(not that I've gotten into the expensive stuff, but I can't really afford
to do that anyway, since I'm operating at my own expense). Thanks for the

A lot of folks around my area like C-Net. I should be able to find
something out for you in the way of games. I am currently running DLG Pro
(formally called Dialog Professional). It is also a very nice BBS program.
Will run anything that runs in a CLI environment.

Thanks for the interest. I'm using C-net because it is the best I've seen
to this point. Though I really haven't seen a great selection of them. I've
seen all of the ones that are on Compuserv, and I wasn't really impressed.
Oh, some of them aren't bad, but with all of the Amigas amazing abilities,
a package should be able to harness those abilities. But no matter how good
a BBS package is, without something to keep people interested. There is a
lot of competition from the IBM BBS's with their high quality on-line
games. Most Amiga users would rather use Amiga run BBS's, but, at least in
this area, they are sadly similar, with little to offer. Once you have a
few BBS's offering message bases and files sections, Adding another does
little good. If you can help me provide something different up here in the
Great White North, I would be more than grateful. Thanks again!
