#AMY-VMCO

Just a question, does VMCO have any provision for the sex of the individual?
I'm asking because it occured that since the amiga has all those controllable
parameters for the voice: the sex, base frequency, speaking rate, sampling
frequency, etc, that along with allowing someone to make their own face, they
could be allowed to make their own voice too. Each is an integer so it would
only take 8 longwords somewhere in the face file for this. Just thought I
would mention this idea. bye – Gary
Mac VMCO allows you to diddle voice as much as possible. Unfortunately the
author of the MacinTalk speech driver never finished it to include the female
and foreign voices. The Amiga equivalents are all done, so I'm hopeful that
all those tricks can be done with Amiga VMCO. I just received a new Aztec C
update today so I've got to rewrite a few things and that will slow things
down a bit. Also, I've got to finish up a couple of enhancements to a new Mac
version in order to handle the big volume coming up on Thursday for Apple's
official New Product announcements. After the hoopla settles down again after
the big Mac show next week, I'll be back at my Amiga ready to try out the new
Aztec.
