I got an Amiga Resource with mine (March 91 issue). Maybe they sent you the wrong version.

All of the copies of Compute that I've seen on the newsstands for the last two months have been missing the Amiga section. This wasn't the case for tthe first few months of the new format. Does anyone know why the change in policy? Don

According to Denny Atkins, the Amiga Resource edition is by subscription only. Craig

Amiga Resourse is subscription only? That really STINKS! Another black eye for the Amiga! No wonder the origional editors quit! Arrrrrgh!

It's on the stands here! The reason I don't subscribe is cause I want ALL the sections.

That's interesting. You have Amiga Resource on the newsstand? Maybe they don't include it in my area for sme perserve reason. I guess I'll just keep my eyes open to see if they ever include Amy Resourse in my area. If not, I guess they loose a sale.

Leslie, I'm starting to wonder if the wrong bundles have been sent to your area. You might give them a call or write a letter. Malcolm

This is a very strange policy! Newsstand sales is always one of the major sources of generating new subscriptions. If I wanted to subscribe to the publication now, I wouldn't know how to go about it. Is this another example of an Amiga-related endeavor with a gun pointed straight at its foot?

The March issue isn't on stands yet here in Toronto but my February issue DOES contain Amiga Resource.

How did you obtain your copy? Are you a subscriber or did you buy your copy at a newsstand? If you got yours at a newsstand, that means they're shipping a different version to Canada, because I know that none of the copies I've seen at newsstands here in the S.F. Bay Area have the Amiga section in them.

Don, I don't subscribe cause I want all the sections. I always buy on the newsstand. When they were here for WOC in December I didn't buy the issue on the desk cause it was the Gazette version. This is a weird thing to do with a magazine. I really wondered if they could pull it off. I assumed they had but it seems like they're screwing up somehow. Malcolm

Yeah, I wonder what could possibly be the strategy for removing the Amiga section from the newsstand edition? I looked on the editorial page of the first issue that did this for an explanation or even an announcement – zip. Do they have an address here on Compu-serve or anywhere else? It would be nice if someone could get an explanation out of them. Don

I'm looking at the newsstand version of Compute.

Leslie: Maybe they made a mistake with your copy. My March issue showed up today with the Amiga section. George

The newsstand copy in my area does not include the Amy Resource. Darn. I never did like Compute (but I did like Resourse.)
