Dave, I've been using an XT-BB for over a year, and have used it in color mode for everything from games (Blockout) to database (Advanced Revelation) with no problems. If your BB is working otherwise, maybe you have something set up wrong for the color mode. Have you looked at the pull-down menuse when you're in the BB? There may be something there that is set wrong. It's been awhile since I've used it, but I don't think there's anything intrinsically buggy about the BB in regard to color. Kathy

Thanks, Katherine, I'm trying to view received FAX messages and I get a lock up when I try.

Dave, I have also experienced the lock-up problem in cga graphics mode when trying to view received fax's. this is the only hardwar/software combination that has consistently given me this grief! The problem is apparently in the 9624 fax/modem software, and the only solution I have come up with til now is to print out the fax to read it. I"ll be watching if someone has a better fix. Len

Len, Sounds like we are using the same board. Did you get it from Online! Store? Have you ever asked them about the problem? …Dave

I DID get it from On-Line Stores, and after about three shipments back and forth, I was happy to have one that worked at least partially. I first received a 4800 board, which I returned. The 9600 s/r boardthat came next was totally inoperative, so when I got one that would send and receive, I decided to try and live with it. The bad part is that I sold my US Robotics modem when I got a (semi) working fax board, and the 1200 external modem I had from my old Amiga 1000 must have fallen when I moved, so I don't have that to fall back on either. I guess that for the price, I can't complain TOO much, but I would have liked to have been able to use it as I understood it to have been advertised! Len

Ok, Len. Were you ever able to view and incoming FAX? I forget if we talked about this yet. I have a similar situation in that I returned the first one I got and went for a better one that works just great until you try to view an incoming FAX. It also has a simple BBS program that really works well.
