As Lloyd has stated…NONE of the message is true. In fact, that same
message is what started this thread.
So as not to confuse other members who may happen to stumble across
your posting of it…I would ask you to delete it. The guy who posted it on
UseNet intended it to be a joke read in context with other messages, but it has
been pulled and posted all over the place.

I've deleted the messages. This type of "joke" we don't need. I saw another
one here, but it was obviously a joke. This one threw me a curve, with the
"Press Release" stuff in the beginning and Max Toy's name at the end. I hope
this isn't doing any serious damage to Commodore's credibility.

I appreciate your cooperation. Unfortunately, as that message has made
the circles, some folks have taken it to be fact and it has indeed done some
harm to CBM's reputation. Nothing significant, but enough to irk me
anyway…and I presume CBM also.
